Cheryl Boyle
FLUTE INSTRUCTOR
Cheryl brings a multidimensional approach to teaching flute which speaks to her own learning journey in music and to other aspects of everyday life, an approach that seamlessly blends personal challenge and pedagogy with warmth, friendliness, inclusion and openness to many tastes and goals in a non-intimidating and welcoming environment.

Cheryl earned her B.A. in Music from Benedictine University, and holds an M.A. in Literature from Northwestern University and a Doctorate in Education (Ed.D.) from Lewis University. She has been teaching flute privately for over ten years, both through her own studio and at several music schools. Cheryl has played flute since her primary school days, bringing with her a foundational and personal heartfelt connection to the world of band music and helping flutists flourish in that milieu. Cheryl previously studied with Yolanda Picucci and Susan Levitan, and played in various college ensembles and the Chicago Flute Club.

Cheryl loves to teach and learn especially in the area of music and finds that her emphasis on how people learn—people of all ages—is what resonates the most when she teaches flute.
