The Fox River Academy Woodwind faculty has outstanding credentials and years of diverse performing and teaching experience, combining to offer the best in private and ensemble musical training for any genre, from classical, rock, jazz, etc. Our woodwind faculty is friendly, fun, and professional, believing that an environment of mutual respect creates an enriching and comfortable musical learning experience.
Heidi Hendricks
FLUTE INSTRUCTOR
Heidi Hendricks has performed with the Elmhurst Symphony, the Concertante di Chicago, the Bloomington Pops Orchestra, the Wheaton Municipal Band, the Trinity Community Philharmonic and other orchestras and chamber ensembles throughout the United States. She has been a studio recording session artist in the Chicago area, has performed with well-known artists such as Michael Card and Fernando Ortega, and has been a guest artist on the WTTW television program 30 Good Minutes. Heidi has also performed as part of the Bowdoin International Music Festival, Lake Placid Flute Institute, Ithaca Flute Institute, and the University of Indiana Summer Music Festival. Her Master of Music in flute performance was received from DePaul University and her Bachelor of Music was received from Wheaton College.​
