Sewing Basics Class

Learn the fundamentals of sewing in this quick two hour workshop. Students will be guided through terminology, how to read and lay out patterns, how to pin and baste pieces to sew, button sewing, hand stitches for quick mending, types of needles and their applications, and basic use of the sewing machine and how to work with commonly used functions. Fabric, tools, and materials will be provided. Please note-- this workshop does not have a finished project, and is an in-person tutorial for those who are new to sewing.
