RIC LARSEN
Guitar Instructor

Ric received his B.S. from Minnesota State University, and his M.A. from Elmhurst College in Illinois. He has privately studied with Denis Azabagic (world-renowned performing artist and professor at Chicago Center of Performing Arts of Roosevelt University), Jason Vieaux (former winner of the Guitar Foundation of America Competition), James McGuire, Jeffery McFadden, and Steve Suvada. Ric currently is on faculty at Aurora University’s College of Arts and Sciences for guitar, and in addition to his 10+ years of experience in full-time private teaching, enjoys an extensive solo and chamber performance career; presently he performs in a classical guitar/oboe duo with oboist Lisa Vivian Godlewski throughout the Chicagoland area. Ric is also a board member of the Chicago Classical Guitar Society.
