PRESCHOOL CLASSES

Establishing good foundations for a lifetime of music and art enjoyment

sampleOur preschool classes focus on creating an educational yet exciting and fun environment for children to explore and learn the fundamental concepts of creativity in the arts. Classes are designed by teachers with specific training and experience in areas of preschool education.

My son, Matthew, completed his first session of Mini-Musicians today.  For the past two months, my three-year-old has been singing and clapping around the house.  He eagerly sings the songs he has learned for our family and friends.  Matthew has always had an affinity for music, but these classes have built on his enthusiasm.  (We're particularly thrilled that Matthew has finally learned to use his whisper voice.)   He even recognized "Carnival of the Animals" at a concert we attended at Northwestern University.  His teacher played parts of it for him during one of his classes, and Matthew remembered it!

I'm attaching a photo of Matthew and his teacher.  I think his expression probably communicates more than my words ever could.  Thank you for this program.  Matthew loved the class.  We're looking forward to the second session. --Most Sincerely, Libby W.

MINI MUSICIANS preschool music program:
vocally-based music introductory course for ages 3-5

Our preschool music program is designed to teach in a fun, engaging way the six main concepts of music. Students will learn that Music is made up of Pitch, Rhythm, Movement, Mood, and is a Language, both on a spoken and Universal level. Students exposed to these musical concepts are provided with an essential foundation for music appreciation, as well as an integral background of musical fundamentals for future private music study. The Miniature Musicians program is vocally based, making involvement accessible to all children. We keep our class size to a minimum (4-6 per group), to allow optimal attention to
your child’s learning.

The Miniature Musicians Program works through a series of three sessions, with each progressive session building on the concepts learned previously. At the end of each session, students participate in a music program, presenting the work of the session.

Session I: Beginning Concepts (30-minute sessions; 10 weeks total); $100
Session II: Concepts (45-minute sessions; 8 weeks total)
Session III: Advanced Concepts (45-minute sessions; 7 weeks total)
