Mr. Loeb holds a Bachelor of
Music in Piano Performance and a Bachelor of Music in Instrumental Music
Education from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL. His primary
teachers included JeongSoo Kim, William Goldenberg, Robert Chappell and
Edward Klonoski.
Matthew Loeb is an active performer, director and music educator in the Chicago area. He has played professionally since the age of 16 for a variety of venues; including service as pianist for the Kishwaukee Symphony Orchestra and rehearsal/show pianist for Rising Star Theatreworks. Recently, he performed as an onboard showband musician and headliner accompanist for Carnival Cruise Lines.
In addition to performing on keyboard instruments, Matt has served as music director, arranger and/or contractor for many live shows. Currently, he accompanies, arranges and directs for the annual Heart Harmony and Hope Music Event, a musical fundraiser for the benefit of the United Church of Christ.
