ASHLEY MEKEEL
Piano Instructor
A native of Amboy, Illinois, Ashley Mekeel earned a Master of Arts degree from the University of Iowa in Piano Performance with an emphasis in Collaborative Piano. She also received her undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa in Music Education and Piano Performance. Ashley has been an active piano accompanist/collaborator in the Iowa City area. In addition to coordinating her own piano studio, Ashley was the piano accompanist for Northwest Junior High concert choir and show choir for the past three years, as well as accompanying students in undergraduate, masters, and doctoral vocal programs at the University of Iowa. Her major teachers have included Dr. Rene Lecuona, Shari Rhoads, and Christine Rutledge.
